Terms of service.

Please have your pet use the bathroom or take a walk if needed before your groomer arrives. This needs to happen before we arrive so the groomer can be efficient and stay on schedule. We will message you when we are on the way to give you a heads-up of our ETA.

Prices change with the condition of the pet’s coat, skin, actual weight, and behavior.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Shampoochie Salon employs extensive safety and sanitary precautions to ensure your pet's safety and health. Despite reasonable and prudent efforts, some pets may experience common side effects of the grooming process, including but not limited to: clipper burn, exposure of the quick, reactions to flea treatments and de-shedding dip treatments, hair splinters, and sharp nails (after clipping).

Emergencies and Accidents- While in our care, your pet will be treated with the utmost respect and safety precautions. However, due to the nature of grooming, accidents can occur. You acknowledge that when using sharp tools and loud equipment during grooming, there is a risk of injury to your pet. If an accidental injury occurs we will pay for the vet bill.

Acknowledgment of this form permits us to take your pet to the veterinarian in case of an accident. We will not be held liable in the case of an accident caused by a pre-existing condition of your pet.

Safety- In the event your pet becomes aggressive during grooming and cannot be groomed safely, we reserve the right to abort the service to prevent any bites to us or accidents to your pet. You will be responsible for paying for services that were completed.

Property- We will not be held responsible for any damage to your property caused by your pet during grooming unless caused by my negligence. In the case where a key is left or given to us, We will not be held responsible for any damages or theft to your property. By leaving us a key you give us express permission to enter your home and obtain your pet and return them after grooming is complete.

Your pet's rabies certificate must be emailed or picture messaged before grooming can take place. We must be made aware of any history of aggression or biting in regard to your pet.

Bite and/or aggression history must be made known to us before grooming your pet. If bite/aggression history is not made known to us at the time your appointment is made and your pet causes an injury to us that requires urgent care or hospital stay, the whole cost of any treatment and rehabilitation received by the victim of the injury will be paid by you, the owner of the pet. We do not groom severely aggressive pets. If your pet nips or bites for a specific portion of the grooming process, please inform us beforehand so we can be prepared and avoid any injury. Failure to let us know of a potential aggressive episode will greatly increase the chance of an injury to us.

Light matting can be dematted. Any matting behind the ears and between the toes of your pet will be automatically shaved out. We will not demat for longer then 10 minutes. This type of dematting will incur a charge of $5-10.

Moderate matting can possibly be dematted if the mats are not adhered to the skin and the pet does not experience stress or fear during the process. This incurs a charge of $1 per minute. The groomer will assess your pet and inform you if this dematting process is possible and safe for your pet. Severe matting will be shaved and your pet's haircut will be started over. This incurs a charge of $1 per minute to remove pelted matting.

We will NOT demat a severely matted dog. This will cause physical pain, stress, and possible painful scrapes and burns to the dog's skin. This will also hinder the pet and groomer relationship and will cause your pet to experience fear at their next grooming appointment. Grooming every 4-6 weeks will prevent this from happening!

We can reschedule your appointment, and you de-mat your pet at home. When you have completed this, we can return and groom your pet.

We reserve the right to abort a service if you do not agree to shaving your pet's coat if we deem it appropriate. Please remember this is in the best interest for your pet. We will not be held responsible for any scrapes to the skin resulting from shaving your dog to get rid of matting, or a hematoma that develops on the ears or tail as a result of removing heavy matting in that area.

Photography- You understand and agree that pictures of your pet(s) may be taken for purposes of marketing my business on my website and social medias (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

Pets must be picked up by closing time or by the time established by the groomer depending on the daily workload, otherwise, we will charge a $15 fee for every 15 minutes past closing.

We have a 15 minute tolerance for appointment arrival. If no notice is given, your appointment will be cancelled and considered a no show. If you will not make it on time, please call us to let us know! There’s no fee for rescheduling: we will try to move your appointment to a later time or date, so we can avoid charging the no show/same day cancellation fee.
